About the Business
After graduating from Cardiff University in 1980 with a degree in Economics and Accountancy, Philip trained with Kidsons in Manchester, qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1982. He then spent three years at Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG) in Manchester in the audit and small business departments, rising to managerial level, leaving in 1987 to form his own practice Philip Dykes & Co.
Coupled with a spell in industry as a financial director, these early years provided Philip with an excellent grounding in accountancy and tax from both sides of the fence, professional and advisory, to management accounting and cashflow management (disciplines which affect all businesses particularly in the tough economic climate we now face).
Philip, who lives in Sale, is married with two grown up children (both at university - ouch!). Philip enjoys physical exercise, fell walking, skiing and a pint or two of real ale on a Friday evening.
