About the Business
AML Payroll & Bookkeeping Service is based in the ancient market town of Hailsham in East Sussex. It was started in 1990 by Arlene Leake who was working for an Accountants firm in Middlesex, when the offer of running her own business in Payroll was made. So in August 1990 AML Payroll & Bookkeeping Services was born and 23 years later, still has clients that it started with. AML Payroll & Bookkeeping moved to East Sussex 13 years ago and the company has gone from strength to strength having bought another payroll company and become a BACS Accredited Bureau and a Member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers.
Arlene Leake went into Payroll on leaving school and has processed manual payrolls as well as computerised payrolls for over 40 years so the experience held in the company is vast.
